The application process

The PhD programme has one entry point per year, in September.  The deadline for submitting applications is normally at the beginning of June each year.

Before making a formal application to our PhD programme you must identify and contact an academic with research interests related to your proposed area of research to discuss your proposal and gain their agreement to act as your doctoral supervisor.  You can do this by viewing the individual research interests listed on our academic staff page.   As mentioned, you can also find information by viewing our Research Centre pages.
