The Queen Mary Centre for Digital Collections has officially opened!
Guests participated in the launch event on Wednesday 25 February 2026
Wednesday 25 February 2026 was the official launch date for the Queen Mary Centre for Digital Collections.
The day was marked by an event entitled 'Liminalities: launching the Queen Mary Centre for Digital Collections' where guests were invited to explore the new facilities and witness the team's work.
The event began with a presentation, followed by opportunities to:
- Experience a demo of the Digital Collections platform
- Tour the Digitisation Studio
- Discover items in the Archives Reading Room
- Visit the exhibition
Everyone had a fantastic time, and we're excited to keep you posted on what is happening in the Centre going forward.
In connection to the launch, the new Digital Collections webpage also went live where you can view some of the digitised collections the team have been working on. This marks another exciting milestone for the Centre for Digital Collections, forming part of the ongoing project to digitise, preserve and share the unique and important collections that we hold at Queen Mary.
