New Accessible Resources to Support Public Understanding of Large Language Models

QM researchers work to help the public better understand and safely use large language models (LLMs).

Published:

QM Researchers Lizzie Remfry (WHRI) and Mel Ramasawmy (WIPH), together with collaborators, have been awarded funding from the Centre for Public Engagement to co-create accessible resources that help the public better understand and safely use large language models (LLMs).

In partnership with Social Action for Health, the team worked closely with a group of PPIE contributors in Tower Hamlets to produce two short, engaging videos explaining what LLMs are and how they are being used in healthcare and research.

These videos are free to use and currently available in English and Bengali, supporting inclusive access to information about this rapidly developing field.

If you would like more information, or are interested in translating these videos into other languages to support your own work, please get in touch with Lizzie Remfry  e.a.remfry@qmul.ac.uk or Mel Ramasawmy m.ramasawmy@qmul.ac.uk
