Queen Mary University of London is delighted to offer Kaplan Excellence Scholarships worth £5,000. These scholarships are available to students progressing to Queen Mary in September 2026 from a Kaplan Foundation Certificate studied at Kaplan International College London (KICL) or from Kaplan International Digital Pathway.
Kaplan Excellence Scholarship awardees will be expected to act as International Student Ambassadors of Queen Mary and Kaplan, supporting promotional activities during their studies.
To be eligible, candidates must:
- exceed the overall progression requirement for their programme at Queen Mary
- hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate programme for September 2026 intake*
- have international fee status
Kaplan Excellence Scholarships are awarded automatically to the 10 highest achieving students who meet the eligibility requirements – there is no application or registration process. The scholarship will be deducted from a recipient’s tuition fees when they enrol at Queen Mary.
Terms and Conditions:
- You must have achieved and exceeded the overall progression requirement for your programme at Queen Mary.
- You must be progressing directly from a Kaplan Foundation Certificate studied at Kaplan International College London (KICL) or from a Kaplan International Digital Pathway to Queen Mary. The scheme is not open to Kaplan students progressing from any other Kaplan college via the University Placement Service (UPS).
- This scheme is available only to students who apply for and enrol on an eligible course taught at Queen Mary in the 2026/27 academic year. Scholarships cannot be deferred to subsequent years of study.
- Your fee status must have been confirmed as ‘Overseas’ by Queen Mary and must remain ‘Overseas’ throughout the programme. This award is not available to applicants assessed as ‘Home’ for fee status purposes, regardless of domicile.
- You must be fully self-funded.
- You must be enrolled on a full-time programme.
- You must not be in receipt of any other University scholarship or full-fee scholarship from any other source.
- If you are awarded the scholarship, it will be deducted directly from tuition fees payable to the University. You must be able to finance the remainder of your tuition fees and living expenses.
- Kaplan and the University will jointly identify the scholarship recipients.
- The scholarship will be confirmed when your admissions status is ‘unconditional firm’ (UF) and you enrol at Queen Mary.
- The scholarship is only available for the first year of your undergraduate degree. In subsequent years you will be eligible to pay the full tuition fee.
- The scholarship is awarded by Queen Mary in line with the eligibility criteria and application requirements published above. We reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship if your fee status changes to Home or if you otherwise become ineligible for the award.
