Teaching Recognition

As a mentor, I particularly value supporting applicants as they reflect on their teaching practice and articulate the breadth and impact of the excellent work they do with students. Many colleagues initially underestimate the significance of their contributions, and it is immensely satisfying to see their confidence grow as they recognise the value of their practice. This reflective process not only supports successful applications but also affirms the importance of teaching within our academic community. My experience as a reviewer has been equally illuminating. Reading applications from across different disciplines and teaching contexts has exposed me to a wide range of innovative, thoughtful, and inclusive approaches to teaching, assessment, and student support.
