2025 in review
As we reach the end of 2025, we celebrate 240 years since the founding of the first of our institutions in 1785.
This milestone has given us a meaningful moment to reflect on the generations who shaped Queen Mary’s proud and distinctive history, and on the mission that continues to guide us today. For over two centuries, our four founding institutions championed opportunity, social justice and academic excellence. That commitment remains at the heart of Queen Mary – a community defined by curiosity, compassion, and a drive to improve lives through education and research.
We also celebrate each of you: our staff, students, alumni, partners, and friends. Your dedication, creativity, and resilience sustain our mission and carry forward the legacy built by those who came before us.
