The School of Economics and Finance are offering up to 52 scholarships to applicants from the following MSc programmes:

  • Banking and Finance MSc 
  • Behavioural Finance MSc 
  • Corporate Finance MSc 
  • Finance MSc 
  • Financial Technology (FinTech) MSc 
  • Investment Banking MSc 
  • Investment and Finance MSc 
  • Wealth Management MSc 

Eligibility Criteria: 

To be considered for the Global Finance Leaders Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% (or international equivalent).
  • Hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) for one of the eligible MSc programmes.
  • Not already be in receipt of another Queen Mary scholarship.

How to Apply

After you have applied for a Master’s programme at the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary and received an offer, you will be invited to apply for the Global Scholarships. The scholarship application link will be emailed to you directly.

You only need to complete one scholarship application, which will automatically consider you for the following awards:

By submitting a single application, you will be considered for one of these scholarships, where eligible. 

Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible after receiving their offer, as scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis. Applications will close once all available scholarships have been allocated.

Terms and Conditions: 

  1. You must have achieved, or be on course to achieve, a minimum of a UK 2:1 bachelor’s degree or an overseas equivalent degree. Information on the comparability of international qualifications can be found in the Entry Requirements section under the listings for each programme in the course finder. Please note this information is only intended as a guide and the final decision on the equivalency of overseas qualifications will be made by the Admissions Office.
  2. This scheme is available only to students who apply for and enrol on an eligible course taught at Queen Mary in September 2026. Scholarships cannot be deferred to subsequent years of study.
  3. Your fee status must have been confirmed as ‘Overseas’ by Queen Mary and must remain ‘Overseas’ throughout the programme. This award is not available to applicants assessed as ‘Home’ for fee status purposes, regardless of domicile. 
  4. You must be enrolled on a full-time master’s programme.
  5. You must not be in receipt of any other Queen Mary scholarship, tuition fee discount (including the Queen Mary alumni discount or partner university discount), or a full-fee scholarship from any other source.
  6. You must be fully self-funded. 
  7. If you are awarded the scholarship, it will be deducted directly from tuition fees payable to the University. You must be able to finance the remainder of your tuition fees and living expenses.
  8. The scholarship will be confirmed when your admissions status is ‘unconditional firm’ (UF) and you enrol at Queen Mary.
  9. The scholarship is awarded by Queen Mary in line with the eligibility criteria and application requirements published above. We reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship if your fee status changes to Home or if you otherwise become ineligible for the award.
  10. Where a deposit payment is required, deposit deadline extensions will not extend to the offer of the scholarship.
  11. Due to the high level of competition for these awards, unfortunately, feedback cannot be provided for unsuccessful applicants.
